New tracks coming soon.

No at the moment we don't put up one track a week, but soon we will come back to that rhythm we can hardly wait ourselves.
November was the month that we had to leave our beloved little studio on the NDSM terrain in Amsterdam Noord. We have been working there with great inspiration and energy.
Problem was that there was no other space available to rebuild the studio so we had to store all the equipment divided over several places. It's still there not being used at the moment, but we are working hard to change all that soon.
The good news is that I found a new place to put up our studio, so now we are in the progress of building/isolating/securing the space so I can start building up the studio again, much improved off-course. It is a bigger space then before and it will be a pleasure reconnecting all the equipment and get the flow going again.
Since I just lost my digital camera I can show no progress off the building at the moment.
So don't book us at the moment, we're very busy building and hope to start somewhere in January in a brand new studio.
PS
Upcoming live show, February 6, 15:00 we do an opening in Museum Coda in Apeldoorn for the exposition of Laura Bakker. More info soon.

Hard-Trance-Techno-Acid-Dub!!

Another week, another track! The workflow continuous. This new track, we did last night, is in the same "spirit" as Trance05. Both are more some sort of Acid-Dub, rather than Trance. (Think Zion Train!!) But both also have the repetitiveness you would find in a good trance track. Get it from the download section but leave a comment if you please!

Tuesday 28 October 2008

Two new free downloads!!!

In the "Download Section" there are two more tracks you can download for free. We created them the last two weeks (a track a week is the workflow right now!) and we are very happy with them. For now they are called "Trance04" and "Trance05" but these are just working titles. As soon as there are enough tracks for a full-length release there will be proper titles. We are currently shopping for a label btw. Anyway....hope you enjoy the tracks and please let us know what you think!

what do we have under the mixer

Here's a view under the Onyx 1620 Mixer at our main 19" box, the center of our set-up Live and in the studio.

From top to bottom our soundmodifiers are;
- a Lexicon Reflex for the rooms and ambiences.
- A TC Electronic D-Two digital Delay, a perfect musical machine that syncs to midi clock and has wonderful direct access to any needed functions, perfect for real time live control.
- The Waves Maxxxbcl, this one consists of the combination of a Renaissance Compressor, MaxxBass and the L2 Ultramaximizer in one 2 unit Hardware box. This is our main mastering processor and it boosts our sounds to the extremes, it's really wonderful. The first track we actually mastered with this machine is Trance05 and can be found in our download/Play section. Next in line is the
- Aphex Aural Exciter type III model 250, to add in some highs and extra clarity to the sound, but it can do more then that alone. Then a
- Drawmer DL441, 4 channels of direct inserts to the Onyx with autocompression and at the bottom
- A Quadraverb II specially good for the more odd special effects and noises with it's building block architevture for layering effects.

New Download

Here's a pre-mix of a new track we are working on which you can download. The working title is Trance03twee. It's done using a Siel DK80, Melodica, Korg MS10/MS20/MS50/VC10, EDP Gnat, Coffeefilter and a drumloop in Ableton Live.
Listen to it here and download it in the download section.

Hope you like it! Let us know!!

Meet the Korgs

How many Korgs in this picture?

Clearly in the heart is the PS3100 the 48 voice polyphonic mama.
She carries an MS10, MS20, MS50 and SQ10.
The potmeters in the front of the picture are from an X911,
And in the top right there is the MC01 attached to a VC10.
One big happy family.

Videoclip Demo Pana

Here's our first videoclip, camera and composition by dafna levy, with footage from Worm Rotterdam during a live performance on July 4, 2008 at the You Are PWNED party.
The track is Pana, and is one of the tracks in our current live set-up. This set we build from Ableton Live on a laptop with midi controllers, but we also bring several analog synths, like EDP Gnat, Korg MS50, Nord Modular and two micro modulars, compression, and FX and mix it all on a Mackie Onyx 1620. This should give you a basic idea on what to expect at our live shows.
Updated the clip on september 22nd 2008, since the quality of the first upload was tragic. Hope you enjoy.

New Sound

New monitors arrived today, need to be run in for 24 hours on moderate levels, these Dynaudio Acoustics BM15,
so just a bit of patience needed.

free dubnoise track!

Here is a free track for you! A track we did last week. It's a 7 minutes edit of a 55 minutes live recording of the dubnoise we are currently doing. There are only a few notes in the computer to trigger the synths. All the rest (playing and filtering of the synths, all the effects and the mix) is done live. Soon we are going to do stuff like this including a vocalist. Enjoy!! And let us know what you think; we love feedback!! (as you can tell).

Start!

Welcome to the LØSD blog!! This is where you can find out anything and everything about LØSD.
LØSD is Peter Fleur, involved with experimental electronic music since the early eighties. He started
LØSD in 1995 as a rhythm-based project. The first release immediately was a remix of Muslimgauze; a release together with Pan Sonic (back then still; Panasonic). But there is more that he shares with Pan Sonic; their love for analog sound-synthesis and the minimal but danceable rhythm patterns. He wants to show you that one doesn't have to restrict oneselves to one style of music to have your his own identity. Identity has to do with the sound and not the style of the music. That's why he will take you through the whole spectrum of industrial, techno and acid!! And noisedub aswell!! The sounds are created live with analog electronic equipment, like, the Korg MS Series, MiniMoog, Roland 303, 606, 909, EDP Gnat and more. All of these are synced by a computer and controlled with MIDI-controllers. Go for the complete discography to; http://www.discogs.com/artist/LØSD
